girl?? we are all surely hoping so! Some of our best friends, Megan and Tyler are currently in the process of becoming first-time parents! We're all on pins and needles waiting to hear if all of the decorations and baby clothes were purchased in vain... or, if they are in fact going to have a beautiful little baby girl! No matter what it is, I simply can't wait to see her/him! This is the first time that I've been near a close friend who's having a baby... and it's been fabulous. So, I can only hope that I get a call soon to hear the news!!
Let's see, I've also discovered that 90 degree weather + no air conditioning makes for a very warm house... what's with construction companies not installing central air in new houses? I'd really like to know!
It's been great being back in Fargo (I'm back for about a week to see the baby). I sometimes don't realize how much I really have in this town: friends, family, the school, a myriad of choice, and last but not least, stores that stay open past 5 p.m.! It's easy to take things for granted and being back in Williston has made me realize just how much of a home fargo has really become. Even though NDSU still has a LONG way to go before it'd be at the point where I'd be content.... I still have grown to love it, or more realistically, the people that compose it. The people that I've met there have truly changed my life... all for the better!! I get eager to see their smiling faces every time I come back.
Mikey has been in Canada on the famed Tucker fishing trip for the last week, and it is really tough to have him gone for so long... but, even worse is that I can't even talk to him. I guess I have to rely on faith to say that he's alright and still alive. I can only imagine the fun that he's having up in the wilderness. They brought enough fabulous food to live like kings... so, I'm very eager to hear the stories and see the pictures of their escapade!
Also of interest, today Liz and I were sitting on the couch when the garbage truck came by. The house across from us in the backyard had TWENTY-FIVE bags of garbage!!! Seriously, what the hell is this Earth coming to when one single-family house can produce that much waste in one week. It seriously makes me want to start up a neighborhood recycling program.... ugh!
And last, but not least... the new Sigur Ros cd... is FABULOUS! I would encourage you to check it out if you are interested in music in another language that is perfect for studying (one doesn't focus on the words because well, most people don't understand Icelandic) :) Anyway, enough day dreaming from me.... till next time!
