amtrak

So, I'm typing this from one of my very favorite establishments in the F-M area.. Atomic on Broadway, however, I'm not really in a great mood at all. Our train has now been delayed for seven hours and we are nearly at wit's end. After not getting any sleep last night and then trying to be up here at the butt-crack of dawn again, has drawn us to the edge! I just don't understand why Amtrak couldn't simply tell us from the get-go that the trains were being rerouted due to flooding. I guess it was a good thing that Mikey decided we should head home today. It would have been a nightmare had we waited until tomorrow to get home..!

Last night we got to see the baby one last time before we headed out of Dodge. She was so content and happy and absolutely adorable! I just can't believe how little and precious she is! Megan and Tyler are doing wonderfully, and we'll miss them for the rest of the time that we'll be home.

But, I believe that my (very delicious spicy chicken) sandwiches are nearly finished at good ol' Atomic, so, I must be on with my adventure... Hopefully the train attendant doesn't keep delaying us further and further.... only time will tell!
